Sacraments of First Holy Communion & Confirmation 2021

Because of the present level 5 restriction and with our schools closed there are no dates fixed for the celebration of First Holy communion & Confirmation this year in Tipperary Town.  It is hoped that when restriction levels are reduced and that dates can be arranged to celebrate these sacraments.  They will not take place before Easter It is important to continue to prepare for these sacraments at home by regular prayer as a family.  We ask the children with their parents help to continue to go through their Religion Book – Grow in Love – especially the sections dealing with the sacrament they are preparing for.

Prayer of Spiritual Communion

My Jesus,
I believe that you are present in the Most Holy Sacrament.
I love you above all things
and I desire to receive you into my soul.
Since I cannot at this moment receive you sacramentally
please come spiritually into my heart.
I embrace you now as if you were already there
and I unite myself wholly to you.
Never permit me to be separated from you.  Amen
