Feast of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus:  on Friday 16th June.  Mass in St. Michael’s Church at 8.00am & 10.15am Let us pray: Sacred Heart of Jesus, you love us deeply and know every corner of our identity. Transform our hearts to have the same feelings as yours, the same way of listening, seeing, and speaking as you do. Purify us in in the living flames of your Love so that we can make you present here and now through our lives.

R/ Amen.   V/ Sacred Heart of Jesus,             R/ Make my heart like yours.

The Body and Blood of Christ On this feast of the Body and Blood of Christ we celebrate the Eucharist as the sustaining food of divine life within us. In the Eucharistic meal we are fed on the body and blood of Jesus Christ.  We live in him and he lives in us.  We draw the energy of divine life from him; energy to be his representatives today and energy to grow into unending life in the great tomorrow. St. Teresa of Calcutta expresses the need to respond in life to what we receive:  ‘The Holy Hour before the Eucharist should lead us to the holy Hour w ith the poor.  Our Eucharist lacks something if it does not lead us to love and serve the poor’.                                               Silvester O’ Flynn O.F.M.
