Vocations Sunday – also known as Good Shepherd Sunday – a day of prayer for vocations to the work of service in the Church. This call to service in the church is sometimes only acknowledged in the Ordained Ministry, but the Lay Faithful make up the vast majority who serve Christ in the church worldwide. Let today be a time of reflection for each one of us on how we have responded to the Lord’s call in our own lives – and let us be renewed in that call to be of service to Jesus Christ in our parish for the good of one another.
