Sunday of the Word: At the end of the Year of Mercy Pope Francis proposed setting aside a Sunday given entirely to the Word of God, so as to appreciate the “inexhaustible riches contained in that constant dialogue between God and his people”. He declared the 3rd Sunday in Ordinary Time to be devoted to the celebration, study and dissemination of the Word of God. Also it an appropriate time to dialogue with our fellow Christians during the week of prayer for Christian Unity
St. Michael’s Parish is presently looking for additional readers of the Word at our Weekday and Weekend Masses. This is a very worthwhile and privileged ministry to read and communicate God’s Word to others. It is also another way to use a God given gift that one has and be involved in the faith life of the parish. Why not volunteer today after mass?
