Summer Clergy Collection: Thanks to all who contributed €5,795 to this collection last weekend bringing the total so far for 2026 to €38,420. The target for our parish to reach this year is €113,400. Use the envelope in your collection box marked ‘Summer Clergy Collection’ or the envelopes available at the back of the church. All cheques must be made payable to St. Michael’s Church.

St. Michael’s Cemetery Annual Mass: will be celebrated on Tuesday 14th July at 7.30pm (weather permitting). This is a very special celebration every year when we remember our faithful departed. The liturgy reminds us that- “We believe that all the ties of friendship and affection which knit us as one throughout our lives do not unravel in death”. (Order of Christian Funerals). Spread the word and invite family and friends to attend. All are welcome.
Murgasty Hills Residents: The Carron Cross Mass Will take place at the cross on Wednesday, 8th July 2026 at 7.30pm
Cashel & Emly Diocesan Pilgrimage to Knock: will take place on Sunday 2nd August led by Archbishop Kieran O’Reilly. The Pilgrimage programme commences at 2pm with Rosary, 2.30pm Anointing of the sick, 3.00pm Concelebrated Mass followed by followed by Eucharistic Blessing, Rosary Procession to the Shrine (weather permitting). Sacred Music on the day will be led by Cashel & Emly Diocesan Choir. We look forward to welcoming Pobal Ailbhe to Knock Shrine on our Annual Diocesan Day.
Youth 2000 Summer Festival: Calling all young people aged 16–35! Join us at the Youth 2000 Summer Festival in Newbridge College, Co. Kildare, on 13th to 16 August. This is a donation-only event, with free buses available across the country and all meals included. Expect inspiring talks and workshops, Mass, music, prayer, and plenty of opportunities to chill out and meet other young Catholics.
