Pre-Confirmation Mass: Children and their parents are invited to the Vigil mass in St. Michael’s Church next Saturday, 8th Feb at 6.00pm. This is part of the ongoing preparation for the celebration of Confirmation which takes place on the 22nd of March.
Feast of Presentation of the Lord (Candlemas Day) This Feast is a remembrance of the Lord and Mary, mother of the Lord. With candles in theirs hands, the people go out to meet the Lord and to acclaim him like Simeon, who recognized Christ as ‘a light to reveal God to the nations’. World Day for consecrated Life. Today we remember all in religious/consecrated life and say thanks for their commitment and fidelity.
Church Heating: The old boiler has been dismantled and removed from the basement of the church. As soon as the new boiler arrives it will be installed in a few days. The repairs will cost €20,000. Thanks to a number of people who have already generously donated towards the cost.
