Easter Clergy Collection: will be taken at all masses next weekend. This is the second of 5 clergy collections this year and the target for Tipperary Parish to reach is €113,400. So far €11,615 has been donated. Please use the special Easter Clergy Collection envelope in your Collection Envelope pack. Envelopes are also available in the church. All cheques must be made payable to St. Michael’s Church.

Trócaire Boxes: to be returned this week. It would be great if coin would be changed to notes before making your donation through the parish. All cheques should be payable to St. Michael’s Parish.

St. Michael’s Parish Office: closed on Good Friday 18th April an re-opens on Tuesday 22nd April at 10.00am.

Tipperary & District Flower & Garden Club: Gala Easter Demonstration, Title “Easter Eggstravaganza” by Ali Dietrich AOIFA, Dublin in Ballykisteen Hotel on Wednesday 16th April @ 8pm.

Holy Face Vigil: on Good Friday 18th April at 12 noon at the Kickham Monument. All are welcome.

Holy Week Ceremonies 2025 St. Michael’s Church Tipperary Town

17th April         HOLY THURSDAY       

7.00pm     Mass of the Lord’s Supper with Washing of Feet and concluding with procession to the Altar of Repose

Donations for Peter’s Pence (Pope ‘s Collection)can be left in Collection Box back of the church

8.00pm – 9.00pm Quiet prayer at the Altar of Repose

18th April         GOOD FRIDAY     

11.00am            Stations of the Cros (St. John’s Famine Cemetery)

3.00pm    The Solemn Celebration of the Lord’s Passion and Veneration of the Cross (Divine Mercy Novena will begin after this celebration)

Donations for the Protection Holy Places in the Holy Land can be left in the /collection Box at back of the Church today.

8.00pm      Prayer Around the Cross (We gather around the Cross and reflect on what this day means in our everyday lives)

19th April         HOLY SATURDAY

Confession:         2.30pm – 4.00pm.

8.00pm                EASTER  VIGIL   (No 6pm vigil mass)

Gather around the Easter Fire in the Church Yard at 7.45pm for the blessing of the Easter Fire and lighting of the Paschal/Easter Candle.

20th April          EASTER SUNDAY

5.30am           Easter Sunrise Liturgy We gather at the Pitch & Putt Carpark and walk the Tipperary Hills to celebrate the Rising Sun – the Risen Jesus. This is not a celebration of Mass but a service of prayer to which all are welcome. A cuppa will be available in the Pitch & Putt Clubhouse afterwards.
