Prayer When Lighting the Advent WreathFirst Sunday of Advent As the earth turns away from the sun and enters the season of darkness, a darkness which is necessary for the bulbs and seeds to ready themselves for the burst of growth in Spring, so do we enter the time of waiting that is Advent. We pray that we may use this time as wisely as the earth does, preparing our hearts and spirits for the celebration of the wonder that is the incarnation, God becoming flesh and living among us. We light this candle for Hope

Advent Reflection: There will be a short reflection on the Season of Advent from St. Michael’s Church each Wed at 6.30pm on the Parish Webcam.

St. Vincent de Paul: Annual Christmas collection takes place next weekend 5/6 Dec.  You are asked to be as generous as you can to this appeal this year.  Envelopes are available at back of St. Michael’s Church and donations can be dropped into the St. Vincent de Paul Box at the back of the church or to any member of the society in Tipperary.
