Week of Prayer for Christian Unity 18-25 January: Theme – “We saw the star in the East, and we come to worship him” Mt 2:2 – taken from the account of the visit of the Magi to pay homage to the infant king. It is a call to unity of all believers in Christ – from the North and South, East and West, old and young, men and women. We are called to be united in our faith, in our belief that the infant of Bethlehem is the savior of all people – the light in our darkness.
Newsletter: Do not leave the newsletter in the church after you have used it. Items for the newsletter should be left in by Thursday noon of each week.
Covid 19: In church you are asked to:
- Wear a Mask at all times;
- Sanitise your hands on entering and leaving;
- Avoid standing at the back of the church during mass.

2022 Collection Envelope Pack
During the next two weeks the Annual Collection Envelopes will be delivered in the parish. A huge word of thank you to all who help with this task each year. Volunteers are still welcome.
The following will be delivered to each home:
- 52 Weekly Offertory Envelopes – beginningon the weekend of 6th February you are asked to make your weekly donation to St. Michael’s Parish by using this envelope. With the introduction, and hopefully its success of the weekly envelope, it is intended not to re-introducing the basket collection at the offertory of mass. You are asked to place your envelope in the boxes at the back of the church with your name and address. Also included in the pack are envelopes for the 4 Clergy Collections; the Missions and St. Vincent de Paul. With the use of envelopes the parish may be eligible to apply for a rebate from Revenue on donations of €250 or more in a full year.
- Seeds of Hope: We are also distributing to each home the Introduction to ‘Seeds of Hope’the Pastoral Plan for the Archdiocese of Cashel & Emly 2021 -2026. We want to involve more people in the life and administration of our parish. The complete version of the Pastoral Plan will be made available at our parish gatherings that will be organized as soon as Covid Restrictions allow.
- Parish Lotto: You will receive a leaflet about our Parish Lotto, inviting people to join it online if they so wish. It has been a great success since it was launched last April and a big help to our parish finances.
- 2022 Calendar: Finally we are giving you the Annual Parish Calendar. Extra copies are available in the sacristy.
