Catholic Schools Week:  23 -30 January – ‘Living Life to the Full’ Every Catholic School fosters the holistic development of its students, promotes their wellbeing and encourages them to learn and nurture their talents and skills This year, we celebrate how we are called to be communities of faith and resilience, through our thoughts, words and actions.  In doing so, we follow the words of Jesus in St. John’s Gospel:

“I have come that you may have life, and have it to the full.”   (Jn 10:10)

Sacrament of Confirmation:  will be celebrated in St. Michael’s Church on Sat 26th March by Archbishop Kieran O’Reilly.

First Holy Communion: Will be celebrated for each individual school during the month of May – 7th, 13th, 14th, & 20th.

Parish Lotto:  Congratulations to the Pauline Ryan the lucky winner of €50 this week.  Jackpot was not won and will be €1,700 next week.              To join the Lotto, go to the Website and press the Lotto Button.  Your support is greatly appreciated.

Newsletter:  Do not leave the newsletter in the church after you have used it. Items for the newsletter should be left in by Thursday noon of each week.

2022 Collection Envelopes: At present the Annual Collection Envelopes are being delivered in the parish.   Thanks to all volunteers who are helping with this task.  Envelopes for distribution can be collected in the sacristy.

  • 52 Weekly Offertory Envelopes – beginning on the weekend of 6th February you are asked to make your weekly donation to St. Michael’s Parish by using this envelope. With the introduction, and hopefully its success of the weekly envelope, it is intended not to re-introducing the basket collection at the offertory of mass. You are asked to place your envelope in the boxes at the back of the church with your name and address. Also included in the pack are envelopes for the 4 Clergy Collections; the Missions and St. Vincent de Paul. With the use of envelopes the parish may be eligible to apply for a rebate from Revenue on donations of €250 or more in a full year.
  • Seeds of Hope:  We are also distributing to each home the Introduction to ‘Seeds of Hope’the Pastoral Plan for the Archdiocese of Cashel & Emly 2021 -2026. 
  • Parish Lotto:  You will receive a leaflet about our Parish Lotto, inviting you to join it online if they so wish.  It has been a great success since it was launched last April and a big help to our parish finances.
  • 2022 Calendar:  Finally we are giving you the Annual Parish Calendar.  Extra copies will be available in the sacristy.
